Merging and Unmerging Leases
You can merge leases in Entrata. This is useful when a resident or company is renting more than 1 unit and would like to pay the rent for each of the units using the same account.
Merging a Lease
-
In Entrata, go to Residents >> All Residents.
-
Click a resident's name to open the Resident Profile.
-
Click the Lease tab, then select the Other Leases subtab.
-
Click Add Lease to open the Add Lease window.
-
If this button isn't available, another lease is already merged with this lease and you must click Edit before you can click Add Lease.
-
-
In the Find Lease field, enter the name of the resident-associated lease you want to merge with this lease, and select that resident's name from the list that appears.
-
Select the lease you want to merge with.
-
Click Add to merge the leases. The new lease appears in the Other Leases section.
Unmerging a Lease
You can unmerge a lease at any time. For example, if a resident would like to pay the rent for separate leases using different accounts, you can unmerge the leases associated with that resident.
-
In Entrata, go to Residents >> All Residents.
-
Click a resident's name to open the Resident Profile.
-
Click the Lease tab, then select the Other Leases subtab.
-
In the Other Leases section, click Edit.
-
Under the Edit Other Leases section, click Disassociate in-line with the lease you want to unmerge.
-
In the pop-up, confirm that you want to unmerge the lease by clicking Delete. Your leases unmerge from each other and are now separate leases.
