Entrata Core & Student Release Notes

Due Date Now Supported for Installment Charges

In a recent Entrata update, Entrata added a Due Date field to the resident's ledger so that we can adjust a resident's due dates without affecting the Post Date. In this release, they extended this functionality to support setting both a due date and a post date for installment charges. Specifically, we can set the Due Date as the date by which the resident needs to pay their installment amount while setting the Post Date to still support revenue recognition in the correct month.

Specifically, on the resident ledger, the due date for lump sum installments (such as one that covers the entire Fall semester) will show as the Installment Bill Date from the Installment Plan setup. Additionally, delinquency calculations (including late fees, late notices, and reports) for a lump sum installment such as one that covers the entire Fall semester would show the entire installment as delinquent if it is not paid by the Installment Bill Date from the Installment Plan setup.

All of these changes will help ensure that delinquency tools can properly assess penalties based on the due date without disrupting revenue recognition.

Feature/Tool:

Residents >> All Residents >> [select a resident on an installment plan] >> Financial >> Ledger

Payment Reversal Fee & Permissions Update

Entrata eliminated AR Payment reversal fees, which were previously set at $3.50 per payment reversal. Additionally, all properties can now process reversals via the 'Reverse Payment' option on the payment record.

Additional Resources

One Tap Pay - MoneyGram Update

With this update, residents can now update MoneyGram payment amounts in the One Tap Pay workflow.

ResidentPortal >> Make a Payment

Other things to note:

  • Prior to this update, residents were unable to update the payment amount in the One Tap Pay workflow if they selected MoneyGram. This created problems if the total balance exceeded the maximum payment amount for all other payment methods, because the resident would be unable to use them for online payments.

Entrata Card Payment CVV Update

With this update, CVV numbers will now be required when residents make card payments in Entrata.

ResidentPortal >> Resident Ledger >> Add Payment
ResidentPortal >> Make Resident Payment

Other things to note:

  • This update applies to both new and stored cards.

ProspectPortal 'Link Bank Account' Button Update

The 'Link Bank Account' button in ProspectPortal has been updated to match the rest of the UI.

Prospect Portal >> Payments >> Link Bank Account

Other things to note:

  • The 'Link Bank Account' button was often missed by applicants because it didn’t match the rest of the application’s primary button style. This update will help the button stand out more.
