ResidentPay Release Notes

Plaid Database Match

With this update, Entrata now supports Plaid’s Database Match functionality. This allows residents to skip micro-deposits if they've previously verified their accounts anywhere else on the Plaid network. If Plaid recognizes the routing and account number from a prior verification, the account will be instantly verified and available to use.

ResidentPortal:

ResidentPortal >> Payments >> Wallet >> Add New Payment Method >> Bank Account ACH >> Manual

Plaid Persistent Account ID for Chase Bank Account

For a small number of residents who bank with Chase, payments were debited from closed accounts. This happened if the resident linked their Chase account via Plaid Instant Auth (using their online banking credentials), closed the account with their bank, linked an open account, and attempted to submit payments from the open account. With this update, payments will now be debited from the correct account.

ResidentPortal:

ResidentPortal >> Payments >> Wallet >> Add New Payment Method >> Bank Account ACH >> Instant >> Chase

Other things to note:

  • Please note: this update will only affect Chase accounts linked after the March 27th release.

With this update, we've replaced the old ResidentPortal app banner with a new version in all rent reminder emails. The new banner has QR codes that take the user to the App Store and Google Play to download the app for iOS and Android, respectively.

Setup:

Setup >> Properties >> [select a property] >> Communication >> Contact Points >> Payments >> Rent Reminders

ResidentPortal:

Settings >> Notification Settings >> Email Notifications >> Rent Reminders

Other things to note:

  • Clicking the new banner will bring users to https://residentportal.com/ where they can also download the app.
  • We've removed the additional banner and will only display one app banner in the rent reminder emails moving forward.

Utility Expense Recapture Release Notes

Utility Move-Out Update

With this update, our system will now estimate the final utility charges at the time of move-out based on the first set of temporary utility charges that were posted to the resident ledger.

Entrata >> Residents >> All Residents >> [select a resident] >> More Actions >> Utility Move Out

Other things to note:

  • The final billing period will start on the first day of the temporary charge billing period and will end on the resident’s move-out date.
  • The temporary charges will be removed from the resident ledger when the final utility charges are posted.

Entrata Reports Release Notes

Separate Reports Scheduled Task Script

Scheduled reports and packets are now processed through a separate, report-specific scheduled tasks script. This also resolves an escalated issue where users were receiving duplicate emails.

  • Benefits: This change insulates the scheduled tasks script from the reporting scheduled tasks script and vice versa. It also allows more flexibility to properly handle scheduled reports and packets, including the ability to implement validations to help inform and educate clients of scheduled reports and packet health in future enhancements.

Scheduled Reports & Packets: End Date Required

An End Date is required when adding or updating a scheduled report or report packet. The End Date must occur after the Start Date.

Data & Reports >> Reporting >> Schedules >> Add/Edit
Data & Reports >> Reporting >> Packets >> Add/Edit (Type = Scheduled)
Data & Reports >> Reports (Legacy)>> Scheduled Reports >> Add/Edit
Data & Reports >> Reports (Legacy) >> Report Packets >> Add/Edit (Type = Scheduled)
  • Benefit: This ensures that scheduled reports and packets are properly maintained and limits the risk of outdated schedules clogging up the scheduled queue and sending unnecessary emails.

Receipts By Charge Codes 2.3

This report has been optimized to generate 80% faster.

Data & Reports >> Reporting >> Library

Trending Occupancy 1.9

A new Summarize Units filter has been added to this report. When Summarize Units is set to Yes, the Move-ins Without a Unit filter will be removed. When Summarize Units is set to Yes, the data pulling into the MI/MO columns will only consider leases that changed the status of the unit (specific for space options).

Data & Reports >> Reporting >> Library
  • Benefit: This report is useful for properties that use space options and want to see their trending occupancy by space option instead of unit.

Total Reach 2.4

This update resolved an issue where text opt-ins were not displaying correctly. Text opt-ins can now be tracked correctly.

Data & Reports >> Reporting >> Library

VendorAccess Release Notes

New Fields Added to Email Subject Line For POs Submitted Via VendorAccess

Previously, when a purchase order was sent via VendorAccess, the subject row of the email did not provide enough information to make sure it got routed to the correct individuals to take action. This required vendor personnel assigned to a group inbox to open each individual email and often go into VendorAccess to find additional details, leading to vendors getting backed up on non-punchout orders.

To fix this, the following fields have been added to the subject line of the email sent when purchase orders are submitted via VendorAccess:

  • Location
  • Account number
  • Type (either punchout or manual)
