Moving In a Resident Using the Move-In Board

The Move-In Board is based on the move-in checklist. The Move-In Board provides an organized display of the tasks that you must accomplish when moving residents in.

 

Moving a Resident In

 

Using the Move-In Board helps you and your residents complete all necessary tasks before they move into a unit.

 

Before you begin:

  • An admin user must set up your move-in checklist.
  • An admin user must set up your move-in board.

 

  1. In Entrata, go to Residents >> All Residents.
  2. In the left sidebar, hover over the board icon  and click Move-in Board to open the Move-in Board screen.

 

 

  1. Click  Filters in the top left corner to open the Move-in Board Filters window.
  2. Select options from the desired filters, and then click Search to apply the filters to the Move-In Board.
  3. In the Resident Listing section in the middle of the screen, click the resident that you want to move in.
  4. If the resident doesn't have an assigned unit, assign a unit to the resident.

 

Assigning a Unit

  • In the Resident Checklist section on the right side of the screen, click Assign to open the Select Property Lease Term window.

 

  • Select a Floorplan from the drop-down menu.
  • Select a Unit from the drop-down menu.
  • Review the Recurring Charges and Credits and Move-in Charges, and then click Submit. The assigned unit displays in the Resident Checklist section.

 

  1. On the right side of the screen, click Start Review to open the Review Move-in screen.
  2. Review the household and financial information, filling out fields as needed. Required items are marked with an asterisk.
  3. Click Save at the bottom of the screen. The resident checklist items appear.
  4. On the right side of the screen, click the action button in-line with a completed checklist item. The item is marked as complete and moves down the list.

The name of the action button will vary depending on the checklist item.

 

  1. If you need to override a checklist item requirement, click the green checkmark icon in-line with the item.

Only admin users and users with the correct permissions can override the requirements of certain checklist items.

 

  1. Once all required items are complete, click Perform Move-in at the bottom of the screen to update the Move-in Board and change the resident's status to Current.
