Resetting a Resident's ResidentPortal Password

 

If a resident cannot reset their password using the Forgot Password link in ResidentPortal, you can reset it for them.

 

  1. In Entrata, go to Residents >> All Residents.

 

  1. Select a resident by clicking on their name to open the Resident Profile.
    • You can also use the filter to search for a resident. Click the filter icon  to open the filter pop-up window.

 

  1. In the Quick View section on the right-hand side of the screen, click Edit.

 

  1. Create a new password by typing it into the Password textbox, or click Auto-Generate Password.
    • When auto-generating a password, check the Email Password checkbox to email the password to the user.
    • Auto-generating the password creates a unique and secure password, which is then given to the resident to access their account. Once the resident has logged in to ResidentPortal, they should immediately update their password.

 

  1. Click Save to save the resident's new password.
